Crypto roulette: odds, house edge and where to play
Crypto roulette is the same game as any online roulette: the wheel decides the odds, and the coin you deposit with decides only fees, speed and price swings. A single-zero wheel costs 2.70% of every bet; a double-zero wheel costs almost twice as much.
Below: the casinos we rank for roulette, every bet with its payout and chance, the cost of an hour at the table and where provably fair roulette fits in.

Short answer
What is the house edge in crypto roulette?
2.70% on a European single-zero wheel, on every bet, and 5.26% on an American double-zero wheel. French rules with La Partage return half of an even-money bet when zero hits, which halves the edge on those bets to 1.35%. Paying in crypto changes none of this.
One zero in 37 pockets.
La Partage returns half the stake on zero.
Two zeros in 38 pockets.
Pick the wheel before the bet. Which bet you place does not change the edge on a European wheel.
Crypto roulette in four lines
-
2.70%
The cost of every bet on a European wheel: $2.70 per $100 wagered on average.
-
5.26%
The cost on an American wheel, almost double, from the extra 00 pocket.
-
7.89%
The five-number bet on an American wheel, the most expensive bet on a standard roulette wheel.
-
0
Betting systems that change the edge. Martingale moves the losses into rare large ones.

Bets and odds
Every bet on a European wheel
Every bet costs the same 2.70%; the bet you pick only changes how often you win and by how much.

Computed from a 37-pocket wheel: chance = numbers covered ÷ 37.
Wheels compared
European, French, American and provably fair roulette
The zeros are the whole house edge. The double zero adds 2.56 percentage points to every bet.
| Version | Zeros | House edge | Special rule | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| French | 0 | 1.35% to 1.39% on even money | La Partage or En Prison | Cheapest if you bet red/black. |
| European | 0 | 2.70% | None | The wheel to pick when French rules are not offered. |
| American | 0 and 00 | 5.26% | Five-number bet 7.89% | Avoid if a single-zero wheel is on offer. |
| Provably fair roulette | Varies | As stated by the casino | Results from your seeds | Check the wheel layout and edge in the game info. |

What it means for you
What does an hour of crypto roulette cost?
The edge is fixed per bet, so the pace of the game decides the cost per hour.
Speed costs more than the wheel choice at the same stake; fast RNG roulette at a single-zero wheel can cost more per hour than a live double-zero table.
Expected cost per hour = stake × rounds per hour × house edge. Rounds per hour are assumptions for a typical pace; change them in the calculator. A long-run average, not a forecast for one session.
What it means for you
Martingale: why doubling after a loss fails
The system doubles the stake after every loss. It wins small amounts often and loses large amounts rarely.
9 losses in a row happen about once in 403 series. Then the next stake ($512) is over the table max and you have lost $511 chasing a win of $1.
What it means: the table maximum stops the doubling, and one long losing run costs more than many small wins brought in. The edge stays 2.70% on every bet.
Chance of losing red on a European wheel = 19/37. The $500 table maximum is an example; check the table limits.
A number is due
The wheel has no memory. Every number has the same chance on every spin.
Cover the whole table
Betting on many spots at once gives more frequent wins, but each bet keeps its own edge.
Live, RNG or provably fair
Three ways to play roulette with crypto
Live dealer
A real table streamed from a studio. The rules and paytable set the odds, the same as anywhere else.
RNG tables
Software versions from game studios, played as fast as you click.
Provably fair originals
A crypto casino can run its own roulette where the result comes from your seed pair.
Patterns and exceptions
Two things the odds show
The zeros are the whole edge
What it means: choose the wheel before the bet; it is the only choice that changes the price.
Computed from the wheel layouts.
Bonuses
Roulette and bonus terms
Low weighting
Bonus terms can count roulette at a low percentage toward wagering, or not at all, and can exclude even-money bets.
Maximum bet and banned patterns
Bonus terms can cap the stake per round and ban betting both sides or large swings in stake.
Coin moves change the value
A bonus paid in a volatile coin rises and falls with its price while you wager it.

How we rate crypto casinos for roulette
What we read before a casino appears in the roulette list.
-
Tables and rules
We check which wheels the casino offers, single or double zero, and whether French rules with La Partage are available.
-
Coins and withdrawals
We list the coins the casino accepts and the identity checks it states for withdrawals.
-
Licence
We note the licence the casino states and the countries it does not accept.
-
Bonus terms
We read how much roulette counts toward wagering, the maximum bet with a bonus and any excluded bets.
-
Limits
We check for deposit limits, loss limits and self-exclusion you can set yourself.
The odds come from the rules
House edge follows from the game's rules and paytable. We compare the versions a casino offers and read the RTP in the game info, not in marketing copy.

We may earn a commission when you sign up through our links. It does not change the odds or what we write about the game.

Crypto roulette FAQ
What is the best roulette to play with crypto?
A single-zero wheel: European at 2.70%, or French with La Partage at 1.35% on even-money bets. Avoid American double-zero wheels at 5.26%.
Does any roulette bet have better odds?
Not on a European wheel: every bet costs 2.70%. The exception is even-money bets under La Partage (1.35%) or En Prison (1.39%).
Can a betting system beat roulette?
No. Martingale and other systems change when you win and lose, not the edge. The table maximum and your budget stop the doubling sooner or later.
How does provably fair roulette work?
The casino commits to a hashed server seed, you add a client seed, and each spin is computed from both plus a counter. After you rotate seeds you can recompute every spin. Live roulette with a real wheel is not provably fair.
Which coin is best for roulette?
Any coin the casino accepts plays the same game. A stablecoin such as USDT keeps your balance steady in dollars; Bitcoin and other volatile coins add a price swing on top of the game's. Network fees depend on the chain, and your wallet shows an estimate before you send: see USDT casinos and stablecoins.
Is crypto roulette legal?
It depends on where you live. A casino can hold a licence from another jurisdiction without being licensed where you live. Check local law before you play; crypto deposits cannot be reversed.
Do I need to verify my identity to play roulette with crypto?
When a casino asks for ID is set in its terms: at sign-up, at the first withdrawal, above a limit or only when it asks. See no KYC casinos for what each casino's terms say.
