Thailand's Gambling Act B.E. 2478 (1935) offers no licence for online gambling, so playing at an online casino, crypto or otherwise, has no legal route. A 2025 draft amendment would allow online gambling only where authorised, and the separate casino-resort bill was withdrawn in July 2025.

Legal status
Is crypto gambling legal in Thailand?
Short answer
No
The Gambling Act B.E. 2478 (1935) predates online gambling and provides no licence for it. The government's draft amendment, in public hearing until 14 February 2025, would ban organising or joining online gambling unless authorised. The Entertainment Complex bill for casino resorts was withdrawn in July 2025 and has not been retabled.
What is unclear: whether the draft amendment becomes law, and when. Until it does, online gambling stays outside the law.
