Legal status
Is crypto gambling legal in Indonesia?
Short answer
No
Article 27(2) of the ITE Law, as amended by Law No. 1 of 2024, prohibits making gambling content accessible electronically, with criminal sanctions under Article 45(3). The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) blocks gambling sites, accounts and ads at scale.
Blocked sites keep reappearing under new domains. A new domain is not a licence.
