Crypto casinos by country

Whether you can use a crypto casino depends on where you live, not on the coin. Each country page sets out the legal status for residents, the regulator, the crypto rule and local help, checked against official or reliable sources.

We rank crypto casinos only for countries where offshore play is legal or clearly tolerated. Where online casinos are banned, or only local licences are allowed and enforced, the country page explains the rules without a ranking.

Three legal models Sources on every page Facts from our knowledge base

Short answer

Is crypto gambling legal in my country?

It depends on which of three models your country follows. A licensed market has local licence holders, and a site licensed only abroad sits outside local oversight. A grey market has no local licence for offshore sites, so read the country page for how the law treats players. A prohibition leaves online casinos with no licensing route, in any currency.

Licensed Local licence

Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Argentina.

Grey No local licence

Canada, Austria.

Prohibited No licence route

China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Brazil and others.

Crypto casinos by country FAQ

Are crypto casinos legal everywhere?

No. Some countries license local operators only, some leave offshore sites in a grey zone, and some ban online casinos outright. Check your country's page.

Does paying in crypto change whether gambling is legal?

No. Gambling law covers the activity, whatever the currency. Crypto can also be restricted on its own: our data classes crypto as banned in mainland China, for example.

Why do some country pages have no casino ranking?

We rank crypto casinos only where offshore play is legal or clearly tolerated. Where online casinos are banned or only local licences are allowed and enforced, the page explains the rules instead.

How often are the legal facts checked?

Each country page lists its sources, and its facts come from our knowledge base. Laws change: Brazil and India both prohibited online casinos in 2026.

What if a casino accepts players from my country?

Accepting players is not the same as being licensed for your country. If the site is not licensed where you live, no local regulator can help with a held withdrawal, and a crypto deposit cannot be reversed.
