Is crypto gambling legal in China?
Short answer
No
Any form of gambling by Chinese citizens, including online and overseas gambling, is illegal. The state runs the Welfare Lottery (since 1987) and the Sports Lottery (since 1994), which it does not classify as gambling. Crypto business activity has been illegal since the People's Bank of China notice of September 2021.
